Nagpur, : In a special meeting of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation held at Kavivarya Suresh Bhat Sabhagruha, Reshimbagh, members were elected to the Standing Committee, Transport Committee, and ten Subject Committees. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Nita Thakre.
Deputy Mayor Leela Hathibed, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary, and Corporation Secretary Dr. Ranjana Lade were present.

A total of 16 members were elected:
BJP: 11 members
Congress–Shiv Sena (UBT) Alliance: 4 members
Muslim Bahujan Vikas Aghadi: 1 member
Transport Committee Composition
A total of 12 members were elected:
BJP: 8 members
Congress–Shiv Sena (UBT) Alliance: 3 members
MIM: 1 member
The selection was conducted as per party strength in the house. Group leaders submitted names in sealed envelopes, which were read out by the Corporation Secretary. The Mayor then officially announced the appointments.
