Nitin Gadkari, who was inducted as Cabinet Minister in Narendra Madi Government on Monday evening and subsequently allocated Surface Transport and Shipping Ministry, has cancelled his visit to Nagpur on Tuesday (May 27). The reason given for Gadkari’s change of programme is that the Prime Minister Modi has called Cabinet Meeting in the evening and after the meeting, Gadkari is likely to arrive in city at about 9 pm by a flight. Only thereafter, Gadkari may announce his plan to visit city.

May 27 is birthday of Gadkari and he was scheduled to arrive in city in the evening. The local BJP workers and leaders had planned a rousing welcome to Gadkari at airport and a rally was to be taken out from the airport. But the Cabinet meeting in the evening itself has forced Gadkari postpone his first ever visit to Nagpur after becoming Cabinet Minister and thus diluting the grand celebration plan of BJP workers and leaders. As if now, Gadkari’s all programmes scheduled for May 27 stand cancelled.
