The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal has released an admission notification, inviting interested and eligible candidates to get themselves enrolled for admission to full time and part time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes in the following areas for the December 2015 academic session:

Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

Computer Science and Engineering
Biotechnology
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
Humanities and Social Sciences
School of Management
Eligibility criteria
Ph.D in Engineering: The interested candidates should have M.Tech /ME or equivalent degree. They should have passed the prescribed qualifying examination in first class with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 6.5/10 (6.0/10 in the case of SC/ST candidates) or not less than 60 percent aggregate marks (55 percent marks in the case of SC / ST candidates).
Ph.D in Science and Humanities: The interested candidates should possess a valid GATE / NET score. They should have M.Phil or equivalent degree, or M.Sc./M.Sc.(Tech) / MA or equivalent degree.
Selection procedure
An entrance test and an interview will be conducted for shortlisting and selecting the candidates.
