Nine Security Personnel Injured as Militants Lob Grenade at Patrol Party in J-K’s Tral

Srinagar: As many as nine security personnel were injured when terrorists lobbed a grenade at a joint police and CRPF patrol party near Tral bus stand, said media reports on Friday evening. An officer told media that security personnel opened fire in retaliation. He said that the area was cordoned off and a hunt had been launched.

There seems to be no let-up in terror activities in the state. Earlier in the day, four Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces that broke out during the wee hours of Friday in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district.
