Nagpur: In a distressing incident of newly-wed woman committing suicide, a 24-year-old woman ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her Pratap Nagar resident on Sunday, the police said.
The deceased has been identified as Dipali Ashish Ambulkar, a resident of Plot. No. 53, Joshi Lay-out, Subash Nagar under the jurisdiction of Pratapnagar police.
According to police, complainant Ashish Ambulkar (29) deceased’s husband when saw his wife hanging with the ceiling fan alerted the Pratapnagar cops. On getting information, cops rushed to the spot, brought down the body and sent it for post-mortem.
However, it could not be ascertained as to what led Dipali to take the extreme step. Meanwhile, the cops have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating further.
