Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an Indian epic biographical film starring Kangna Ranaut in the lead role. The movie is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The film is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Nishant Pitti. Apart from kangna we will see Ankita Lokhande from the popular TV show Pavitra Rishta portray the role of Jhalkaribai. The film also stars Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Richard Keep, Danny Denzongpa and Atul Kulkarni in supporting roles. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is set to release on 3 August 2018 in India.

Gold is an Indian historical sports drama film starring Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy. The film is based on the first ever hockey medal that was won by India after Independence. Gold is being directed by Reema Kagti and is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sunny Kaushal and Nikita Dutta in supporting roles. Gold is set to release on Independence Day this year, that is 15th August 2018.
