NET exam held smoothly

NET exam seat websiteNagpur: The National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) went on smoothly on Sunday. CBSE had implemented strict rules in the examination centres. However, the candidates appearing for the examination have to face ordeal due the strict rules implemented during the examination. Many female candidates complained that they were not allowed to wear jewellery and even mangalsutra at many of the examination centres in the city.

There were 8 examination centres for NET in the state. This included 2 centres at Nagpur and Amravati each. Hence, many outstation candidates had come to Nagpur for the examination. The examination was to commence at 9.30 am and the candidates were asked to report at the centre at 8 am.

However, in many of the examination centres the candidates were surprised due to the hard rules.

CBSE has not allowed watches and cell phones in the examination centre. However, in some of the examination centres the candidates were not allowed in hall wearing waist belts. When contacted on this issue, the officers assigned at examination centre claimed that any iron related articles are not allowed in the centre as per the rules of the CBSE.
