Nagpur: Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) took action against 3 establishments on Wednesday and collected a fine of 20,000. In Dharampeth and Lakadganj Zones, the NDS took action against 2 establishments in connection with banned plastic bags and a fine of Rs.15,000 was recovered and 12 kg of plastic was seized.
A fine of Rs 10,000 was recovered by the NDS against Sutra Exhibition at Hotel Tuli Imperial, Ramdaspeth under Dharampeth Zone for using plastic bags. Also, a fine of Rs 5,000 was collected by taking action against the local plastic shop at Chhaprunagar Chowk in Lakadganj Zone.

Similarly, action was taken against Royal Property on North Ambazari Road under Dharampeth Zone for putting up banners/hoardings on roadside electronic junction boards and a fine of Rs.5,000 was recovered. This operation was carried out under the leadership of Veersen Tambe, chief of the Nuisance Detection Squad.
