Nagpur: On behalf of the Nationalist Congress Party Nagpur city, protests continued for the second day at a stretch on Tuesday over the controversial statement made by Agriculture Minister Abdul Sattar regarding Sansad Ratna Supriya Sule.
On Tuesday morning all the office bearers and activists of Nationalist Congress Party organised a havan in large numbers seeking that good senses should be bestowed upon Abdul Sattar. If the government does not sack Sattar, then this kind of agitation will continue to happen perhaps even take a worse form. The people of Maharashtra shall never forgive Abdul Sattar, said the party.
NCP Nagpur President Duneshwar Pethe, State General Secretary Afzal Farooqui, Seva Dal State President Janba Maske, Women Wing President Laxmi Sawarkar, Youth Wing President Shailendra Tiwari, Nagpur City Spokesperson Santosh Singh, City Vice President Shrikant Ghogre, Prashant Banar, Ashutosh Belekar, Dhananjay Deshmukh, Milind Wachnekar, Riyaz Sheikh, Prashant Bankar, Aditya Bhoyar, Natthulal Darode, Nand Kishore Mate, Meshram, Ramteke Saheb and other activists and office bearers were present on the occasion.
