Nagpur: 5 friends came together and decided that the best way to pay homage to the common buddy that they had lost was to host a tournament in his name, a tournament which would give chance to the local snooker enthusiasts of Nagpur and surrounding cities. Thats how the idea of Aditya Diddee Memorial Open Snooker Tournament came up. These 5 friends in collaboration with CP Club decided to sponsor 5 snooker tournaments every year.
This year marks the 5th and final year of it.

To make the last year of their sponsorship special, they have invited over India’s pioneer national snooker champion Mr. Yasin Merchant to grace the prize distribution ceremony on scheduled for 11th September. Mr Merchant has been the National snooker champion thrice, (1991,2000 and 2001) he is also instrumental in training some of India’s finest cueist in his academy.
The prize distribution ceremony shall be held at ‘Downtown’ on Sunday, 9.00 pm onwards.
Right now the tournament is in semi-final stage.
The first semi-final of Aditya Diddee Memorial Open Snooker Tournament is scheduled for today between past Champion Pawandeep Khokhar and upcoming talent Nilesh Khobragade promises to be an exciting contest. Both these players have reached the last four by defeating some of the best cueist of Nagpur.
In the other semi-final M.Saifullah shall play against Mahesh Awachat on 08.09.2022 and the finals would be on 11th September.
