The Information Technology Department of Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) organized Industrial Visit for IV Semester students at National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) post National Science Day, which was on 28th Feb.
The students and faculty members were first taken to CSIR-NEERI Audio Visual where they were made aware about History, Vision, Mission and different Projects of NEERI through presentation .Thereafter students went to Exhibition Hall where posters and models of important projects got showcased.
Then the students visited Computer Lab wherein the working of Big Database Server was explained by the expert. Finally all attended National Science Day Lecture.
Principal of PIET Dr. CG Dethe appreciated the students and faculty for their efforts. HOD of IT Department, Pallavi Chaudhari expressed gratitude to NEERI official the Principal Scientist & Head of R&D Planning Division Prakash Kumbhare for providing an excellent opportunity to the students for visiting CSIR-NEERI. Prof. Nischal Puri, Prof. Sushma Ghode and Prof. Shilpa Borkar accompanied the students for the visit.
