    National Level Faculty Development Workshop at Green Heaven Institute

    Nagpur: Green Heaven Institute of Management and Research, Nagpur, is organizing a National Level Faculty Development Workshop on “Effective Classroom Management and Developing Teaching Competencies”on 4th & 5th April 2016.

    During this Two Day National Level Faculty Development Workshop experienced Resource Persons will explore some pertinent issues in teaching. The workshop will provide the opportunity for discussion and the exchange of knowledge and experience. The Workshop is designed to provide training and support for all academicians who are interested in learning the concepts of teaching, engaging students, and creating learning environments.

    Using technology in today’s classroom brings both challenges and new possibilities. The workshop would enable the Faculty Members to make best use of the tools available for use. This workshop is designed to introduce innovative participants to the concept of motivation in teaching and learning contexts, thereby developing employ ability skills among students.

    The workshop will be held in the premises of Green Heaven Institute of Management and Research, 14 Kapse Layout, Near Padole Hospital, Dindayal Nagar, Nagpur 22.

    Dr T. Kalyani, Director, Green Heaven Institute of Management and Research, Nagpur is the Coordinator of the workshop and has appealed to the teaching fraternity to take advantage of the opportunity and attend the workshop. Topics to be covered during the workshop are: Effective Classroom Management, Collaborative Learning Methods, Peer Led Team Learning, Motivating students for classroom participation, Developing Strategies for improving student’s attendance, Tackling Student absenteeism, Active Learning through Games, Case Study: Preparing to teach with cases, Using 5WH Concepts, Designing Innovative Teaching Tools, Design Your Teaching Lessons- Developing Lesson Plan, Action Plan for Self Improvement.

    This Faculty Development Workshop would enable the academicians to have an insight into the pertinent issues in teaching, provide opportunity for reflection on teaching practice and honing facilitation and delivery skills.
