“Al-Barq-2014”—a two day National level event organized by Electrical Engineering Department of Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, bearing the theme, “BE A HUMAN, RESPECT WOMAN” was an amalgamation of diverse technical and non-technical activities. The National level event was inaugurated on 13th February, 2014 at the hands of the distinguished guests; Dr. Pradeep Kundal, Director, BCUD, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur; Dr. Pushpa Devnani, Principal, KDK Women’s College, Nagpur; Mrs. Zulekha Bushra, Social Worker; Dr. Sajid Anwar, Principal, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, Prof. Archana Shirbhate, Head of the Department, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology. The installation was then followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Sajid Anwar and Head of Electrical Engineering Department, Prof. Archana Shirbhate then introduced the theme of the event which was followed by opening remarks by Dr. Pradeep Kundal and speech on the theme of the event by distinguished speaker, Zulekha Bushra.
While a group discussion round needed some serious brainstorming on topics relating respect for women, there were other events like Project Competition, PPT Presentation, Aptitude Test, bringing forth the technical skills of the students.
The events continued till the 14th of February, 2014 and ended with the valedictory session followed by a vote of thanks.
