National Fire Service College celebrates Alumni meet SANGAM 2017

The National Fire Service College, Rajnagar, Nagpur recently organized, for the first time, an Alumni meet “SANGAM 2017.” Around 120 former graduates of the College attended the meet and shared their rich experiences in life with a view to motivate the younger generation on the role they would have to play as Fire Engineers. Most of the graduates came from the Middle East and South East Asia.

The Alumni meet was inaugurated by Dr S T Deshmukh, ex Vice Chancellor, S G B Amravati University in the presence of Dr Shamim, Dr P C Mishra, P K Rao.

Dr Deshmukh in his address recalled the days when the First Batch of B E (Fire Engineering) was prosecuting their studies in VRCE and he had the privilege of guiding the present Director, Dr Shamim. Dr Natarajan, Course Supervisor of the B E (Fire Engineering) course welcomed the Chief Guest, while Aishwarya gave a scintillating inaugural dance.

Dr Shamim in his Presidential address spoke of the vision of the College and the role it could play in the developing world. He called upon the Alumni to come forward to support the upgraded facility at Rajnagar and said that they could play a leading role in moulding the career of the present newly inducted B E students.

Formal vote of thanks was proposed by Akshay Rathee, B E (Fire Engineering Course).
