Yashwant Sinha and Nana Patole
Nagpur/Akola: BJP MP Nana Patole seems to be in a real rebellious mood as he has been leaving no chance to attack Chief Minister. Nana Patole who was in Akola immediately rushed on Tuesday to meet former finance minister Yashwant Sinha who was already in Akola. Making a scathing attack Nana Patole asked whether the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was waiting for farmers to commit suicide for small demands. He further said the Fadnavis, when he was in oppn had advocated to register section 302 of IPC against the then govt. The same person after becoming Chief Minister has completely changed.

It may be mentioned that former finance and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha is Akola to participate in agitation to be launched by Kisan Jan Jagaran Manch for the various demands of the farmers. On Monday under his leadership a dharna was staged in front of District Collector’s office. During this dharna the police here arrested Sinha and his supporters and took them to Police Headquarter ground. After the arrest Sinha and the farmers have been agitating at police ground. During his meeting with Sinha, Nana Patole said that none of governments have taken the farmers’ problems seriously. The demands are small but the government is not ready to give in. The farmers have still not got the amount for the tur dal sold last year. The grain procurement Centre opened by the govt are just show pieces, he said. A national level leader reaches Akola so that the farmers’ demands are met but on the directions of govt the administration ill-treats him. It’s not just humiliation for Yashwant Sinha but also all the farmers, he added.

Nana Patole mentioned that during the election the govt had promised to give Rs 5000 per quintal for cotton but till now it has not even given Rs 4000 rate for cotton. May be the govt has given assurance to farmers but it is busy pleasing only some people, he said.
