Nagpur’s Prasad Mujumdar nominated as DACYP member

Nagpur: Prasad Mujumdar of Nagpur has been nominated as member of the District Advisory Committee on Youth Programme (DACYP) of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), by the Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur under the category of Eminent Personality from the field of Social Service, Youth Work, Education, Culture, informed Nitesh Kumar Mishra, Director General, (NYKS).

As a nominated member of the DACYP, Mujumdar’s contribution will be important in providing guidance, advice and fresh perspectives on crucial matters related to youth development in Nagpur district. While the role is advisory in nature and carries no monetary benefits or other entitlements, it offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the Jives of young people and shape the future of youth programs in your community.

It is further informed that MY Bharat has been launched by Prime Minister of India during the culminating event of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on National Unity Day i.e. 31.10.2023. An autonomous body having digital platform for MY Bharat https://www.mybharat.gov.in/ was also launched by the Prime Minister.

This digital platform proposes to connect youth with volunteering programs and experiential learning programs in different sectors. This would enable youth to engage with the community, to participate in developmental tasks and also develop leadership skills. The engagement of youth in such activities is purely on voluntary basis and no remuneration is envisaged.
