
Nagpur: Athletes of Nagpur’s Miles N Milers Endurance Sports Academy excelled at the annual Ironman Goa 70.3 Triathlon race. Ironman Goa 70.3 race consists of 1.9 km Swim – 90 km Cycling – 21.1 km Run. All has to be done in 8 hrs 30 mins.
All trained under Dr Amit Samarth, Director of Miles N Milers Endurance Sports Academy. Eighteen-year-old Daksh Khante led from the front. Khante, one of the youngest Ironman from India, did 1.9 km swimming in 32 mins, 90 km cycling in 2 hrs 57 mins and ran half marathon in 2 hrs 10 mins. Total time of 5 hrs 48 mins. He finished 8th in his age group category of 18 to 24 years.
Dr Kshitij Guglani, an Orthopedic surgeon successfully completed Ironman 70.3. He completed the event in 7 hours and 46 seconds. Similarly, Dr BLN Reddy, a Neurologist, did Ironman Goa 70.3 successfully, completing the event in 7 hours and 43 minutes. Another athlete, Navalpreet Kaur reached the finish line in 7 hours and 42 minutes. Shrikant Mukte, clocked a time of 7 hour and 51 minutes. All the athletes are trained at Miles N Milers Endurance Sports Academy under Dr Amit Samarth.
