Nagpur: Well known industrialist of region Mrs Shilpa Agrawal has been selected for most prestigious beauty’s pageant in world – Mrs Universe contest, going to be held in Durban in South Africa !!
Event is going to be organised in the month of August & September from 25th Aug to 3rd Sep. Grand finale will be on 3rd September at beautiful city of Durban !!
Shilpa Agrawal has created history by becoming first woman from Central India to get selected for the most prestigious beauty contest on earth for married women !!
About 175 contestants from all over the world will be participating in this most prestigious beauty pageant for married women in whole world !!
Many of the participants are renowned fashion models , movie & tv stars in their respective countries !!
Many of them have earlier participated in like contests before their marriage in prestigious beauty pageants like Miss Universe, Miss United Continents, Miss Asia Pacific, Miss Earth etc !!
Shilpa has earlier won Mrs nagpur in 2004 & then also won Mr & Mrs Nagpur contest along with hubby Akash in 2005 !!
Shilpa then participated in Gladrags Mrs India & Mrs India world contest but couldn’t get selected for finals
Then for next 10 years she got busy with her fast growing business which demanded her full attention & time !!
In Sep 2015, her husband Akash heard of Mrs India worldwide competition as one of her friend was participating in it. He again motivated her to participate in it
Initially Shilpa was very scared as it has been 10 yrs that she has participated in Gladrags Mrs India !!
She somehow participated & manage to win Mrs India worldwide Mrs Inspirational title!!
She again participated in Mrs India globe 2015 where she won Mrs India Globe 1st runner up title (Indian married women from all over globe were the participants ) !
When asked about why she participate in beauty pageants, she said, “Participating in beauty pageants is not just about winning the title, name & fame. Infact it is much more! It is about meeting talented, interesting people, making friend with them, learning from them! It is about the grooming you get, exposure you get, confidence you develop & much more!!”
She said, “Infact I would like more & more women from tier 2/3 cities of India like Nagpur to participate in these pageants & like shows.”
Shilpa agrawal at present is Managing director & ceo of Akash Furniture group ( consisting of few furniture factories, furniture malls , showrooms.
