Party workers staged a demonstration in front of Medical Square protesting hike in Petrol and diesel prices. They also handed raised a slogan aganist the goverment.

Congress party workers said that the BJP-led government had stormed to power in Delhi riding on the large-scale discontent over rising inflation and should check the increase in fuel prices so that inflation in general is controlled.

“The BJP should not go back on its promise to reduce the cost of living. The fuel price hike that was barely a week after the new government assumed office goes against promises made prior to elections,” argued party workers.

Party workers further demanded a reduction in prices of diesel and petrol so that transportation costs of commodities, including food items, are brought down. They threatened to intensify their protests if fuel prices are reduced.
