Nagpur: A 30-year-old man has been arrested after two minor boys, aged 6 and 11, were allegedly sexually assaulted in the Wathoda Police Station jurisdiction of Nagpur. Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to police, the incident allegedly took place on September 16, when the two children were playing outside their house. The accused allegedly called the children and took them to a bathroom, where he is accused of sexually assaulting them.
A 64-year-old woman subsequently approached Wathoda Police Station and lodged a complaint.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case against Ashpak Hafiz Shaikh under relevant provisions of the POCSO Act and arrested him.
Police are conducting further investigation into the case. The allegations are being investigated, and further details are awaited from the police.
