Nagpur Traffic official pays poor auto driver’s fine, who brought his son’s saving for challan

Nagpur: In the act of restoring your faith in humanity, a Nagpur Traffic Police official paid an auto driver’s challan, after getting to know that his poor financial condition had compelled him to bring his child’s savings to free his auto. The incident reported on Monday once again brought the human side of Nagpur Police to fore.

Ajaykumar Malviya, Senior Police Inspector, Sitabuldi Traffic Division was at the office when the auto driver Ravi Khadse, in tears, had approached the Nagpur Traffic Department Office carrying a plastic bag. Khadse, a resident of Durga Chowk, Yerkheda Kamptee was accompanied by his wife and two children.

Sensing something amiss, PI Ajaykumar Malviya sought reason behind Khadse’s agony. Khadse then narrated his ordeal that traffic cops had issued his challan and seized his auto, the only thing which helps him earn bread and butter for his family. Owing to prolonged lockdown Khadse was already under debt and with no savings in place was facing acute financial crises. Under this stern condition, he’s son offered savings to free auto. Touched by the little boy’s sacrifice, PI Malviya then decided to pay for Khadse’s fine from his own pocket.

This move has helped the Khadse-family rejoice who went back with a huge smile on their face.
