Nagpur: The Annual General Body Meeting of any organization is often a noisy affair with agreements or disagreements, objections etc. However, in contrast to that the Round Table India concluded its 54th Annual General Meeting in Delhi in great style. The AGM of Round Table India was hosted by Area 5 and Area 12 at Taj Vivanta, Surajkund from January 7th to 9th, 2016 and was named “Rang De Basanti”.
The three day AGM had the National Executive Board Meeting on Day 1, in which there a quarterly review of all activities happened and will happen in the following quarter were discussed at length by the Trustees and the Entire Board. This was followed by a Glamorama a competition between all 14 Area’s of RTI in which displayed talent of acting, dancing and fashion between Tablers, the winner were Tr. Aakash & Poonam Mehta from PURT 144 which falls in Area 3.
Nagpur Round table 83 was recognized for the excellent work done towards publicity and fellowship of Round Table India at the National Executive Board Meeting for the 2nd quarter of the year.
On Day 2 the National President Tabler Suman Voora started the AGM with over 400+ delegates from all over the country and some International Tablers from Sri Lanka, Sweden, Netherlands’ and Nepal. A lot of critical decisions were discussed and taken. In the evening the delegates enjoyed one of the best parties where the likes of Mika, Ghulam Ali Sahab and Amisha Patel performed to entertain the Tablers. Everyone present there were awestruck with the kind of arrangements made to comfort visiting Tablers.
The Day 3 of the AGM Awards for the Tabling year 2014-15 was handed over and Area 3 won quite a few of them. The AGM was concluded by welcoming the incoming board for 2016-17 followed by yet another fellowship in grand style where performers from Bollywood kept the guests entertained will wee hours of the morning.
Nagpur Round Table 83 was awarded with awards as mentioned below for their outstanding contributions in the respective fields for the year 2014-15 amongst a total strength of 263 chapters of Round Table India and divided into 14 areas
- Certificate of Merit: Golden Trumpet Award for Publicity
- Extension Trophy Award
- Certificate of Merit for Fellowship Trophy
- Certificate of Merit for Balanced Activities Shield
- Area 3 under chairmanship of Piyush Daga from Nagpur was awarded with Certificate of Merit for their work towards Leadership and Personality Development.
- Piyush Daga was also awarded the President’s star for his contribution towards the movement.
