Nagpur: Several areas across Nagpur will experience scheduled power outages today as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) carries out maintenance and repair work on the power network.
The planned shutdowns, lasting around 2 to 4 hours, have been scheduled for tree trimming, transformer maintenance, overhead wire repairs, HT underground line work, jumpering and other electrical maintenance activities.
Power Cut in Mahal Division
In the Mahal Division, MSEDCL will undertake maintenance work in Deshpande Layout, including jumpering and charging of a new transformer.
Power supply will remain suspended from 8 am to 11 am in:
- Hiwari Nagar
- Trimurti Nagar
- Prajapati Nagar
- Shailesh Nagar
Residents of Dighori, Senapati Nagar, Ramkrishna Nagar, Govind Prabhu Nagar and Shiv Sundar Nagar will face a scheduled power outage from 9 am to 11 am.
Power Cut in Congress Nagar Division
In the Congress Nagar Division, MSEDCL will carry out tree trimming where branches are extending into the power network. Repairs to HT underground lines and jumpers will also be undertaken.
Kachipura will face a power shutdown from 8 am to 10 am.
Other Nagpur Areas to Face Power Cuts
Other areas will also experience scheduled interruptions at different times during the morning.
- Shradhanandpeth: 7:30 am to 11 am
- Gokulpeth: 7 am to 11 am
MSEDCL has advised residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to plan accordingly and complete essential electrical work before the scheduled shutdown.
The power supply is expected to be restored after completion of the respective maintenance and repair work.
