
Nagpur: In a ceremonial event marking the 67th Maharashtra Day, the Nagpur City Police celebrated the occasion with pride and solemnity at the Police Bhavan in Nagpur on Friday morning.
Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal unfurled the national flag at 7:00 am in the presence of senior officers, personnel, and invited dignitaries. The ceremony also featured the distribution of the prestigious Director General of Police (DGP) Insignia Awards.
A total of 45 police officers and personnel from both Nagpur City and Nagpur Rural Police units were honoured with insignia and commendation certificates for their exemplary service and dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Singal extended greetings on Maharashtra Day, congratulated the awardees, and offered guidance for the force’s future responsibilities, emphasizing professionalism and public service.
The event witnessed the presence of Joint Commissioner Navinchandra Reddy, Additional Commissioners Vasant Pardeshi, Shivajirao Rathod, and Rajendra Dabhade, along with all Deputy Commissioners of Police (Zones 1 to 6), Assistant Commissioners, Senior Police Inspectors, and a large number of officers and staff.
