Nagpur: Zone IV police on Saturday, nabbed a drug peddler from a Saoner based lodge, who apparently thrashed and robbed police informer on March 11.

While addressing the press conference on Saturday, DCP Zone IV Raj Tilak Roashan informed that the 42-year-old accused Madhu Surendrakumar Singhal (Agrawal) along with his 4-5 accomplices had thrashed complainant Ashish Sureshrao Gayki (31) a resident of 188/B, Ayodhya Nagar after getting to know about the police trap via a phone call and robbed him of gold chain and mobile phone.

However Raushan didn’t denied the fact that as the trap was confidential, some authorized personnel might have disclosed this crucial information which resulted in further haywire.

Though the DCP didn’t disclosed any other information on the pretext of departmental probe, the phone call that revealed trap to Agrawal suggests, that the police department is indeed going through an internal roller coaster ride.
Which has rise many eye brows on the functioning of the city police department.
