Nagpur: Pardi Police have arrested a 31-year-old man after a woman alleged that her former boyfriend repeatedly followed her, abused and harassed her and allegedly misbehaved with her after their relationship ended.
According to police, the 31-year-old woman had met the accused, identified as Akshay Kamble, in Bhandara in 2023. The two subsequently entered into a relationship. The woman later moved to Nagpur in search of employment.

The woman alleged that after some time, Kamble began suspecting her and allegedly subjected her to verbal abuse, physical assault and mental harassment. Troubled by his behaviour, she ended the relationship.
According to the complaint, in the early hours of September 16, Kamble allegedly arrived at the woman’s residence while under the influence of alcohol and repeatedly banged on her door.
The woman further alleged that Kamble continued following her against her wishes, causing her fear and mental distress. She also accused him of misbehaving with her.
Based on the complaint, Pardi Police registered a case under relevant sections and arrested Kamble. Police are conducting further investigation.
Police said Kamble had allegedly been involved in previous assault-related cases as well. The allegations in the present case are under investigation.
