Nagpur: A serious matter has surfaced in Nagpur where a youth allegedly posted provocative and objectionable content on social media, including a death threat against Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The accused has been arrested, and a case has been registered at Dhantoli Police Station.
According to police sources, the accuse uploaded a video from a Facebook account containing abusive and inflammatory remarks targeting Gadkari and his family. In another video, he allegedly attempted to incite communal tension between two groups, raising concerns about potential disturbance to law and order in the city.
The complaint was filed by Sumit Kumar Chauhan, National President of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. He stated that he came across the videos on Facebook and Instagram while in Nagpur on April 4 and immediately approached the police.
Acting swiftly, Nagpur Police identified the accuse as Ayush Agrawal, a resident of Mahalaxmi Nagar in the Hudkeshwar area, and took him into custody.
Police have registered multiple serious charges against the accused, including criminal intimidation, promoting enmity between communities, making derogatory statements, spreading misinformation to disturb public peace, and defamation. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
