Nagpur: For the first time in the last four months, Nagpur district witnessed single-day coronavirus cases crossing 100 mark as 105 tested positive for the virus on Sunday. Surge in cases has an overall impact as COVID19 active cases, too, crossed the 500 mark reaching 515.
On Saturday, there were 468 active cases. Nagpur rural registered 25 new cases while 80 persons got infected with novel coronavirus in Nagpur city taking the cumulative positive cases to 5,79,305. With 58 persons recovering from the virus the cumulative recovery reached 5,68,431. Recovery rate stood at 98.14%.
Number of persons hospitalized are still 13 though two from Meditrina and one from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) got discharged but one patient was admitted to Orange City Hospital and Research Institute (OCHRI).
Of the 13 COVID-19 patients admitted, 7 are in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), three are under treatment at Kingsway Hospital, one patient each is taking treatment at OCHRI, Railway Hospital and Sunflower Hospital.
Nagpur district registered marginal fall in COVID 19 testing as it reported 1,814 testing. Nagpur rural witnessed 372 testing while the city’s testing rose to 1,442. This has taken the cumulative testing to 54,71,895.
