
Nagpur: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized cocaine worth ₹4.26 crore from a woman travelling on the Hazrat Nizamuddin–KSR Bengaluru Rajdhani Express at Nagpur railway station.
Acting on specific intelligence, officers intercepted the female passenger on April 12 and recovered 50 capsules containing 853 grams of cocaine from her luggage. The substance was seized under the provisions of the NDPS Act, and the woman was arrested.
She was later produced before a court, which remanded her to judicial custody. Officials stated that the DRI Nagpur unit has carried out several anti-narcotics operations in recent months, including previous drug seizures in the region.
