Nagpur: The Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur, marked its 57th establishment day with a blood donation camp organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Vivek Pakhmode, Deputy Director of DMER Mumbai, in memory of Dr. Husain Hafiji.
The event witnessed a significant turnout of students and staff members who donated blood, making the camp a resounding success. The program was conducted by NSS volunteer Kashish Jain, with Akshada Ghugal expressing gratitude towards the donors.
This initiative was part of the college’s ongoing commitment to social service and community welfare. The NSS unit has been actively involved in various social service activities, and this blood donation camp was another step towards serving society.
Dignitaries in attendance included Dr. Abhay Datarkar, Dean; Dr. Vandana Gadve, NSS Coordinator; and Dr. Prajakta, Incharge of GMC Blood Bank. The program’s success was attributed to the efforts of Dr. Pallavi Sonpimple, Dr. Akshay Dhobale, Dr. Shubha Hegde, Dr. Deepak Khade, Dr. Vinay Datta, and all NSS volunteers.
