Nagpur: Kapil Nagar Police have apprehended the main suspect in the shooting incident that occurred at Kamgar Nagar in the early hours of Friday.
The accused goes by the name Shekh Shadab (27, Ansar Nagar, Dhobi Nagar, Tehsil), and he has a criminal background. Various serious crimes such as theft, drug trafficking, and marijuana smuggling are registered against him in different police stations of the city.
After apprehending the suspect, the police conducted a search operation around his residence and transferred him to the Tehsil police station.
Due to illegal competition in unlawful businesses, the shooting incident took place on Friday morning at Kamgar Nagar Chowk in Kapil Nagar. Although the target survived, the assailants later captured his friend and brutally assaulted him. The news of this incident caused an uproar within the police force. The injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment, and the search for the suspect commenced.
