Nagpur: After two blank days in the assembly, the winter session in Nagpur finally began with some work and obviously, some protests too. The third day of assembly marked the beginning with MLA Asif Sheikh staging the protest against the current demonetisation move.
MLA Asif Sheikh reached Vidhan Bhavan premises with a banner in which he has demanded to pay weekly wages to the powerloom labourers working in Malegaon, Bhiwandi, Dhule, Yeola and Solapur.
Sheikh informed that the powerloom workers are facing many hardships due to the note ban. Under such circumstances the labourers should be paid weekly wages in cash, he demanded.
