Nagpur Assembly Poll voting passes off peacefully: 61 % poll recorded

Nagpur South West Constituency registers the highest polling percentage of 59 % while Nagpur West, South and Central Constituencies registers 57 %.

: The Vidhan Sabha polling passed away peacefully on October 15, 2014. In spite of all the advertisements urging people to come out and vote, a meager 61 % had voted in various constituencies. This also included the new voters who had voted for the first time (meaning their numbers would have been definitely higher because of the excitement of getting to exercise their franchisee). Nagpur Today spoke to the police, who reported that there were no incidence of violence or any problems reported in any constituency.

The Nagpur South West Constituency (52) registered a total voting percent of 59 %, while, Nagpur South Constituency (53) registered a total voting percent of 57 %, Nagpur East Constituency (54) registered a total voting percent of 58 %, Nagpur Central Constituency (55) registered a total voting percent of 57 %, Nagpur West Constituency (56) registered a total voting percent of 57 %, Nagpur North Constituency (57) registered voting percentage of 58 %.

In the mofusil areas Katol Assembly Constituency (48) registered highest total voting percentage of 71 %, while Kamptee Assembly Constituency (58) registered the lowest total voting percentage of 60 %.
