Nagpur: Peer team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is going to visit Vidarbha Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s G. S. Science, Arts and Commerce College, Khamgaon, on August 20 and 21, 2024.
Prof. Dr. Surendra Gakhar, Vice Chairperson – Haryana State Higher Education Council, Professor of Biotechnology, Ex Vice Chancellor Kurukshetra University, Rohtak Haryana, is Chairman of the committee and Prof. Dr. P. N. Premalatha (Professor and Head Department of Historical Studies and Tourism Management), Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, as well as Prof. Dr. Rayagouda M. Patil (Associate Professor Department of Commerce), Linagaraj College (Autonomous) Belagavi, Karnataka are its members.
The committee will visit all the departments of the college along with the various facilities and evaluate the college for the quality of education offered. The committee will also inspect the sporting facilities and water harvesting and energy conservation projects of the college.
NAAC is an autonomous organization of the UGC which ensures quality in Higher Education Institutes in India by evaluating and ranking them.
The President of Vidarbha Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Dr. S. S. Bobdey and the Principal of the college Dr. D. S. Talwankar are confident that the college will get Excellent Grade in this fourth cycle of accreditation.
