Mysterious fire at Khamla; 5 vehicles go up in flames

Nagpur: Panic prevailed in Khamla as few unidentified elements set fire to a couple of vehicles parked in a residential locality there. The vehicles were kept in front of the house in Sindhi Colony. The house is reportedly owned by Kenedy Karamchandani. Sources said the vehicles might have been burnt in order to settle personal scores. Moments after the fire set off, the vehicles were engulfed in huge flames. Sources said by the time the fire fighters could reach the spot, 5 vehicles were fully charred. The total damage has been estimated at Rs 2.5 lakh.
The vehicles included a brand new Activa scooter without number, Dio (MH31-1598), Pleasure (MH-31-4251), Autorickhaw (MH-31 AP 2948) and Passion Bike (MH-40-5608).

Sources said the an electricity DP is also located just few meters away from the place of fire and a major tragedy was averted as the fire department doused the flames.IMG_3633

Sources said the reason behind the act was yet to be ascertained, however, the incident has unleashed a mysterious fear among the residents who are worried about parking their vehicles outside their houses.
