Musical “Akshaygaani” leaves audience mesmerized

Khadanvis sir program photoNagpur: Music lovers of the city are in a merry mood as they are being treated with one scintillating programme or another regularly. A host of local as well as national artistes presented their talents in the programmes. In the music series, an event “Akshaygaani” was organized with the cooperation of “Radio Zakkas Marathi.” The musical programme was held at Vishnujiki Rasoi in Bajaj Nagar. The star attraction of the event was Solapur’s ‘Kshitij’, a group of budding and extremely talented Girish Panchwadkar and his colleagues. The chief guest was famous cine-drama actor Dr Vilas Ujawane, originally hailing from Nagpur but now settled in Mumbai and Vivek Ghalsasi of Solapur ‘Tarun Bharat’ daily.

The programme got off to a start with chorus “Sur Anand Ghan” and thereafter, Girish Panchwadkar’s ‘Bhatukalichya Khelamadhli,’ Aye Meri Zohrazabi’ left the audience spell-bound. ‘Once more’ cries reverberated the venue as Meera Deshpande presented a lavni number on foot-tapping “Tujhya Usala Lagla Kolha” song. Hearts of audience missed the beats when they enjoyed “Kajra Mohabbat wala” dance of Sheetal Pandit and Meera Deshpande.

The budding local amateur artist Dr Suresh Ayyar stole the show by his rendering of “Madhuban Me Radhika,” while Dr Nishikant Deshpande captured the hearts with his “Surat Piyaki” and “Ghei Chhand Makarand” from musical drama “Katyar.”

Khadanvis sir program photo (1)The programme concluded with patriotic “Ne Mazasi Ne Parat Matrubhumila” the historic song penned by Swatyantra Veer Savarkar and then “Lagaa Chunrime Daag” by Girsi Panchwadkar.

The organizer of the programme Renuka Bhatbhat along with all the artists were felicitated at the hands of Dr Vilas Ujawane and Vivek Ghalsasi for the mind-blowing presentations in the musical.
