Therefore the hospital staff should pay attention to hygiene, cleanliness and quality of service so that more and more people can get benefit of this service, directed  Municipal Commissioner, Shyam Wardhane.

Municipal Commissioner, Shyam Wardhane, today paid a surprise visit to NMC’s Indira Gandhi Hospital located at Gandhinagar.

At this time, Health Officer, Dr Savita Meshram, acting medical superintendent, Dr Swati Matkari, Dr Pravin Gantawar, Dharampeth zone assistant commissioner, Rajesh Karade, deputy engineer, Krushnakumar Hedau, Zonal officer, G P Tembhekar, junior engineer, G May Tarapure, assistant superintendent, Baghel were present.

On this occasion, Shyam Wardhane, reviewed working of Outdoor patient department, Physio therapy department, casuality, operation theatre and got information about various problems there.

He enquired about dwindling number of patients at hospital, decrease in quality of service, stock of medicines and equipment etc.

Vacant posts of medical officers is causing strain on the medical service here but the doctors are still trying to maintain quality. Sometimes doctors have to work in two shifts as well, such information was provided by hospital staff.
