Nagpur: The State Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar who has targeted to plant 2 crore saplings across Maharashtra on July 1 as a massive drive to increase green cover. With the tree planting drive called “Ekach Lakshya, Don Karod Vruksha” top of his mind, Mungantiwar decided to take support of television world for success of the venture. And what could be the better TV personality than the magnetic Kapil Sharma, the awesome host of “The Kapil Sharma Show” previously known as “Comedy Nights With Kapil,” for success of tree planting drive.
Mungantiwar with a team of officials reached the studios of Kapil Show being hosted by Sony TV and participated in with aplomb. During his appearance in the comedy show, Mungantiwar appealed the people to participate in the tree plantation drive in massive numbers. The episode is slated to be broadcast this week only.
It is pertinent to recall that “The Kapil Sharma” is the most watched and liked show as far as TRP rating is concerned. The show works as harbinger of creating awareness on different social issues. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachha Bharat Abhiyan’ is driven widely by Kapil Sharma as one of its ambassadors. In view of immense popularity of “The Kapil Sharma Show” the Maharashtra Forest Minister decided to take advantage to the hilt and appeared on it to drive home the point, too.
