Nagpur: With reported instances of fraudulent activities involving false installation of solar rooftops claiming subsidies at a reduced cost, consumers are strongly advised by MSEDCL to exercise caution and conduct thorough verification before falling victim to such scams.
A press release stated that citizens interested in the Solar Rooftop Scheme are urged to begin by visiting the official website https://solarrooftop.gov.in/. Upon registering their names and details, MSEDCL will scrutinise the submitted documents and approve applications in accordance with established rules.

Later, the customers are advised to choose a service provider (vendor) from the authorized list and formalise an agreement with them. It is crucial not to engage in any agreement or financial transaction with service providers not listed on the official platform. Once the rooftop solar system is operational, power generation will commence. MSEDCL strongly asked to refrain from financial transactions with unauthorised entities.
