Mounted crane falls on tractor; labourers have a ‘lucky escape’

Nagpur: Several labourers had a narrow escape from a fatal accident after a 70 ft tall mounted mobile tower crane fell on a parked tractor in Ganeshpet. It is a spot where several labourers work every day. It is a case of pure luck that none of them was present there during the accident.

The crane was installed for pillar construction of metro (reach-4) near Raamjhula. It fell on the tractor which was to be used for its motion. During the incident, traffic was prohibited on the road as a result of which no loss of life has been reported.

Further details in the case are awaited and an investigation will be conducted on the reason for the accident.
