Motorcyclists die in freak accident on Wardha Road

Nagpur News : Two youths died in a freak accident between the intervening night of Friday and Saturday on Wardha Road. The deceased have been identified as Chandrashekhar Narayan Lakshane (28), a native of Ramtek and Sachin Kachruji Choudhary (25), a native of Kuhi.

As per information, the accused parked his truck (MH 26 H 5748) in front of Air Force Mess, Khapri, Wardha Road. However, he did not turn on the lights indicating the commuters that the truck was parked. The deceased, who were heading towards Nagpur on their motorcycle (MH 40 AD 9561) at around 1.30 am on Saturday, dashing into the truck from rear and died on the spot. The truck driver, fearing arrest, ran away from the spot in his truck.

Commuters noticed the blood soaked bodies of Chandrashekhar and Sachin and informed Sonegaon police. Cops reached the spot in no time and after performing panchanama, they sent the bodies for post mortem to Government Medical College and Hospital. Cops booked the truck driver and registered an offence under sections 279, 427, 304 (a) read with 134 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act.
