A mother-daughter duo met with an accident on Friday while trying to save a cyclist in MIDC Police Station area. Gayatri Gopal Salodiya, a resident of Rajiv Nagar, Jhenda Chowk was going with her daughter Jyoti on her scooty (MH 31 CS 838). At Jhenda Chowk, Hingna Road a cyclist suddenly came in front of Gayatri. While trying to save the cyclist, Gayatri could not control the scooty and the mother-daughter fell from the scooty.

Gayatri hit her head hard on the road. Both were rushed to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital. Gayatri succumbed to her injuries while Jyoti is under treatment. ‘
