Nagpur: The Second Capital of the State experienced a refreshing change on Friday morning as heavy rain showers swept across the city, providing a much-needed break from the persistent heat and humidity that had gripped the region for weeks.
Despite the monsoon having already made its presence felt in Kerala and parts of Western Maharashtra, Nagpur had been waiting for its turn.
The wait finally ended with Friday’s downpour, offering a welcome reprieve for its residents. However, the rain wasn’t without its challenges.
The city witnessed incidents of waterlogging, and several trees were uprooted due to the intense rainfall.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Fire and Emergency Department was kept busy, responding to various calls throughout the day.
