Nagpur: The monsoon has regained momentum across Maharashtra, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting heavy showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds over the next few days. Nagpur and several districts in Vidarbha are set to experience significant rainfall, prompting the IMD to issue yellow and orange alerts.
According to the forecast, Gadchiroli and Yavatmal are under an orange alert for August 13 and 14, while Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Amravati, and Chandrapur remain under a yellow alert. The department has advised caution due to the risk of lightning, urging farmers and rural residents to stay indoors during storms.
