Nagpur: The campaign “Main Bhi Chowkidar” launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and followed by several BJP leaders gained momentum in Nagpur city as well. The party activists in Pallotti Nagar, New Mankapur, stepped up the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign with great enthusiasm.
As part of Nitin Gadkari’s campaign for Lok Sabha poll in Nagpur, the enthusiastic activists created cut-outs of ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ and sought people’s support in the elections.
Apart from “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign, the poll vehicles carried posters and banners with photographs of Nitin Gadkari and Narendra Modi. The posters wooed the voters with slogans such as “Vote for Development,” “Nayi Soch Nayi Ummid, Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas,” “My Vote for Development, My vote for Nitin Gadkar.”
The high-profile “Main Bhi Chowkidar” campaign was stepped up by several Union Ministers anf party functionaries by prefixing ‘chowkidar’ (watchman) to their names. Modi’s Twitter profile identified him as “Chowkidar Narendra Modi” and similar was the case with other BJP leaders as they launched a coordinated campaign.
