Nagpur:
The picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi replacing Mahatma Gandhi on the calendar of the Khadi and Village Industries Commssion (KVIC) has snowballed into a major controversy with protests being staged across the country. In Nagpur, upset over Mahatma Gandhi’s picture missing on KVIC calendar and diary, an activist associatyed with KVIC Pankaj Pande staged a silent protest. Pande squatted at Samvidhan Square (RBI Square) on Friday.

“I did not expect the Hitlarish Government of Modi will heap insult on Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in such a brazen manner. Since Modi belonged to Gujarat, he is assuming himself as Mahatma Gandhi. He is making a great blunder. It is Modi’s moral degradation,” Pande claimed.

Similar protests are being witnessed across the country with activists demanding reprinting of the calendars with Gandhi’s picture being featured on them.
