Mobile shoppy targeted in busy Sadar area, goods worth Rs 18.18 lakh stolen

Nagpur: Unidentified burglars targeted a mobile shoppy in busy Sadar area and laid their hands on costly mobile handsets, accessories and cash collectively valued at Rs 18.18 lakh.

According to police, Rajesh Satish Sahani (39), resident of Omkar Apartment, Hazari Pahad, Nagpur, runs a mobile shoppy “Posh & Pomp” at C-18, Anjuman Complex, Mangalwari Bazaar, Sadar. The unidentified burglars, between 10.10 pm of Tuesday and 11 am of Wednesday entered the shop by bending shutter and decamped with mobile handsets, accessories and cash of Rs 70,000 collectively valued at Rs 18,18,325. The theft came to notice of Rajesh Sahani when he came to open his shop on Wednesday morning. He immediately lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station in this connection.

API Sawant has booked the unidentified thieves under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and launched a hunt to nab the offenders.
