Nagpur:Sensation prevailed Goa Colony on Thursday night, after some miscreants reportedly open fire here under Sadar Police Station. Fortunately no injuries reported during the incident. The offence was detected in less than two-hours owing to immediate intervention of DCP Vinita S.
According to police sources, the incident was aftermath of petty argument that had occurred in the evening. Some Locals were roaming around the vicinity at around 7 pm when they found some miscreants hurling abuses at each other. Following which locals objected their act, and shooed them away. Irked over which the miscreants reportedly returned later in night and fire four rounds in the air.
Subsequently, locals alerted Police Control Room. Acting swiftly on the inputs the squad led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 2, Vinita S Sadar Police Station immediately rushed to the spot. DCP Vinita S prepared eight teams under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector (PI) Sadar, Sitabuldi, Gittikhadan and Ambazari for identification and nabbing the accused.
The offence was detected in less than two-hours owing to immediate intervention of DCP Vinita S. Cops have rounded up six accused in this regard.
