According to police sources, the violence erupted after a minor push during dancing triggered an argument between two groups. The verbal spat soon escalated into a brutal assault.

Police said two accused, identified as Aryan Dhurve and Prajwal Ramteke, allegedly attacked Ritik Sangode and his two friends, Yash Nandanwar and Harsh Nandanwar, with a knife during the altercation.

Witnesses claimed that in a fit of rage, Aryan Dhurve allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Ritik Sangode on his hand and elbow. When Harsh and Yash attempted to intervene and stop the fight, they too were allegedly attacked with the sharp weapon.

All three victims sustained serious injuries in the attack, creating panic at the wedding venue. Blood-stained scenes and screams of relatives turned the celebration into chaos within minutes.

The injured youths were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Following the complaint, Yashodhara Nagar Police registered a case under charges including attempt to murder and other relevant sections of law. Police officials confirmed that the accused are currently absconding and multiple teams have been formed to trace and arrest them.

The incident has once again raised concerns over rising violence during public celebrations and the increasing tendency of trivial disputes turning into life-threatening attacks.
