Two minor girls were molested under the jurisdiction of Koradi and Tehsil police stations on Thursday.
The first case was registered by Koradi police where a youth was booked for allegedly molesting a 16-year-old girl on Thursday at 9.30 pm. The accused has been identified as Rahul Waghmare (25), a resident of Ward No. 7, Indira Mata Nagar, Mankapur. On Thursday night, the 16-year-old victim was hanging the clothes for drying at the back of her house when Rahul confronted her and confessed his love. He demanded the victim to reciprocate to his feelings and threatened to follow her everywhere if she refuses his proposal and eventually molested her.
On the complaint lodged by the victim, Koradi police registered an offence under Sections 354 (d) of the IPC and booked Rahul.
The second molestation case took place under the jurisdiction of Tehsil police station on Thursdaywherein a 28-year-old youth was arrested for molesting a 12-year-old girl. The accused Kailash Ganpatrao Mendhekar (28), a resident of Jagnath Budhwari, owns Vyaki general stores at Nandbaji Dob, Ganjakhet Square.
On Thursday, the 12-year-old victim was heading for her aunt’s place when Kailash lured her into giving a chocolate and asked her to come to his stores. When the girl reached the shop, the accused tried to outrage her modesty. The girl somehow managed to escape and narrated her ordeal after reaching home.
